Latex from Amazon
They called them “Os Soldados da borracha”, the soldiers of the rubber, and were those people that was living in the Amazon Forest and during the Second World War they extract lattex from rubber trees, “as Sinringueiras”. This lattex then came in Manhaus and from there traveled to Europe and the United States.
Today their descendants continue to extract lattex with the same tools and the same technique as their forefathers to produce a local crafts leather called organic, “Couro organico”, exported worldwide.
